The First Step in Turning Invisible into Visible

Here I am Tuesday Morning, Anxiously waiting at the Charlotte Douglas Airport to meet Gabrielle and Nsay for the first time. It is now 11 am and I have 30 more minutes before their plane lands. This to me is a huge first step towards creating our own destiny. I say that because here Nsay and Gabby are, flying all the way across to North Carolina a place they never been to be with me and join me on this tour so that we can tour up and down the East Coast. So we can begin moving closer towards what it is we came so far for. Im scared, but Im excited because I'm taking that Huge Step. You know its always best to take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is startled, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance. This tour means alot to me, because I will be placing my face out there and giving the world a better look at me not only as a poet, but a writer. I've toured before but this right here is by far better then the first tour because I wasn't prepared. So now that I feel I am prepared, WORLD here I come AGAIN! lol
It is now 11:30 am and The plane has landed. My heart is racing, Im pacing the floor in the Airport and wondering if they will see me or I will see them first.. Hmmmm, So I sit down so I can spot them first. I wait, and Wait.... and wait. I spot a red leather coat standing over by the Escalator and I immediately knew it was Gabrielle. Soon after I spotted Gabrielle, Nsay comes down the Stairs and Spots me. So I jumped up with Camera in hand running to them because I am so excited. Everything has finally started kicking in once I saw their face. Everything is real now. Lol, I can stop pinching myself. There are alot of people who doubt poets, doubt that this can be something you do for a living. They think it is a hobby or a game. Well, it's not and we are about to show them that it is not. I've placed goals out there for myself and so have Nsay and Gabby. To me Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible. So World Here We Come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Purpose

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me."

Wanting something is not enough. You must hunger for it. Your motivation must be absolutely compelling in order to overcome the obstacles that will invariably come your way.

Real Poets Bleed In Ink

The title alone speaks in Volumes. It totally defines itself within itself and theres nothing more to say or add to it... I will say this, Poetry has been a part of my life since childhood. I am the product of a mother who was a poet and musician as well as Educator. Poetry found me, I didnt find it. So therefore I sleep, bleed, and breathe the words on my page. A real poet can never part from his pen nor allow his writing to become idle. Even during the hardest times some of my best poetry is written. Pain often times bring inspiration and fuel some of my best pieces. Even at the lowest of times pain has allowed the levees of my creativity to overflow. So when I release onto the mic, you are able to hear me bleed. So listen to the words that form from my wounds, they just may help yours to heal quicker!

Speak Positive Things Into Existance

Few things in the world are more powerful than a positive push. A smile. A word of optimism and hope. And you can do it when things are tough. Im a positive person and I like to speak positivity into my future, I speak it into existance. I like to stay positive when times are tough because I have faith that things will pull through. Everything is already written and God already has the plan mapped out. I dont like to be around negative people, or people who are not faithful in beliving in God and know that he will see you through. Especially those who are depress about their own situation and they bring you down. I cant deal with that, I really cant. With this tour I know there is a risk of falling flat on my face, but Im not thinking like that. Im not thinking about that. Im keeping positive because I believe in myself. I believe in what it is I do and I came too far to have things stripped away because others dont believe in me. Its always good to have that push and have those family and friends in your corner, but when all else fails if you dont believe in yourself, then you are just done! People deal too much with the negative, with what is wrong...Why not try and see positive things, to just touch those things and make them bloom? That is what I continue to do. I know times can get hard and Im dealing with a person now who is, "I guess depressed" about their current situation. I know how it is, but you have to stay positive. Worrying and crying is not going to solve anything. I cry of course, but why pray if you are going to worry, and why worry if you are going to pray. There must be a positive and negative in everything in the universe in order to complete a circuit or circle, without which there would be no activity, no motion, but what if you only can see negative. I sit here in this chair writing this blog as I listen to the sobs of another poet who I came to know and love, and it hurts me to see that they are not as strong as I. It hurts me that I can't say something to make it better. It will get better. Talking to a person helps, but what if they shut you out and go into a depression, it simply makes your day worse. I pray that this day in the end will up lift everyones spirits when we go and hit the stage! In the end, Adopting the right attitude can convert a negative stress into a positive one. So please try it, it works I know. Prayer will indeed change things, Im a strong believer in that!!!!!!!

My Virginity Is Now Broken

Lol, I knew I would get your attention with just the Mere Site of My Blog Title, but it is true my virginity as a blogger is now broken. This shall be my first Blog ( In My Tasha Jones Voice, Gotta watch her video to understand).....

My Name is Daynomi Thomas ( First name Tomekia). I am a poet, Writer, Musician as well as Owner of Souletry Entertainment, Founder of upcoming Organization P.A.D.A. I am a motivational Speaker for Domestic Violence as well as a Youth Mentor. I travel the globe performing and doing what I love ( my purpose). My first love is always will be my Pen&Pad. My residents is Charlotte N.C., but I live out of a Suitcase literally lol.
I chose to blog because I have a huge following of supporters who are interested in my journey as a poet. I also have other Poets who come to me for advice on what it is like Day to Day doing what I love ( those who have yet to step out full time).... I want others to follow me on my journey as I conquer the world two ears at a time. We all have a purpose and some of us may never know what our purpose is. I am blessed to know my purpose and be able to walk in the light of my path to complete it. My time on this earth is limited and I refuse to waste it living someone else's life. I will never be trapped by Dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. I refuse to let the noise of other people opinions drown out my own inner voice. I have the courage to follow my heart and intuition because they somehow already know what I truly want to become. I want to allow others to understand my struggle, my ups, downs, and evrything in between as I continue to grow as a successful writer, poet, musician and more.SO with all that said, I invite you to Journey with me.
